Principal's Message

Dear Willow Elementary School Families and Community,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am absolutely thrilled and overjoyed to introduce myself as your new Willow Principal. Joining the Willow family is the fulfillment of a long-held dream for me. I have always admired this community’s deep commitment to connection, and I am so excited to jump in and begin building meaningful relationships with all of you.
My goal is to fill our Wildcat hallways with wonder, creativity, and laughter every single day. I want Willow to be a place where your children can't wait to arrive in the morning, where they feel completely safe to take creative risks, and where they are truly inspired to discover their unique strengths.
I bring 16 years of experience in education, having served students from kindergarten all the way through the university level. While this wide lens gives me a great perspective on your child's long-term educational journey, my heart completely belongs in elementary school, where the magic of learning begins.
Outside of school, my world is centered around my family and our deep roots right here. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 22 years, and he is actually an LVUSD graduate himself! Together, we have two amazing sons who have thrived as part of the LVUSD family. This community is where we live, play, and call home, so I know firsthand what it feels like to want the very best for our local kids.
When we aren't busy with family life, you can usually find me traveling, capturing moments through my camera lens, or happily buried under a stack of books. I am a big book enthusiast, and I cannot wait to share my genuine love of reading and storytelling with our students!
We have so much to celebrate and look forward to here at Willow! It is an honor to partner with you as we grow our vibrant arts and music programs, explore in our garden, and dive into hands-on STEAM learning. Alongside these creative adventures, we are deeply committed to our strong, differentiated academics, ensuring every child is met exactly where they are and challenged to reach their full potential. My promise to you is that we will protect this magical time in your child’s life, nurturing their unique curiosity and creativity so they feel inspired, deeply supported, and excited to learn every single day.
I look forward to walking alongside you this year and partnering together to make it a fantastic, joyful journey for our entire community. Go Wildcats!
All the best,
Corine Musgrove
Proud Principal of Willow Elementary
